OBT

Official name, since the girls seem to have told everyone they have met even though we were still deciding, is Oren Blake Taylor.

Spotted on a road name we regularly pass in Florida, Oren Brown Road, which in turn is named after a famous pioneer in voice therapy (apparently, we think!!).

It's kind of stuck so that's it...named after a road, lucky it wasn't 'M4 Taylor' eh? :-)

Update

A couple more pictures of baby 'not named yet' Taylor at three and a half hours old.
Eating loads and pretty alert at present.

Note: He is not called Taylor Taylor, that would be silly, just ask Gary Neville's Dad, Neville Neville....just in case you thought Baby Taylor meant first name Taylor...I'm sure you didn't...did you? Tinker has some possibilties but he's not annoyed me yet so I think he'll be spared that option

And a brief video

Tuesdays Child is full of Grace

3:30am the waters have broken.
Contractions kicked in at 4:00am with only 6 minutes between each one.
Midwife called at 4:30am, she is called Kathy and is based in Nailsea.
Also have another midwife and a student so a busy house.
Children are now up and I am also trying to keep them busy.

Contractions look painful now.

07:34am and at 7 pound 11 oz bouncing baby boy Taylor was born.
No name yet

Sunday Home Delivery

Looks like the only chance I have of a home delivery today is if I had the papers delivered, which I don't.

7 days over and still no sign, well no sign apart from the beachball sized attachment on the front of my wife.

The Kinks

I think the lyrics from a song by The Kinks sums it up nicely:

"I'm so tired
Tired of waiting
Tired of waiting for you"

Time for a coffee (this line wasn't in the song, it's just a statement of what I am now going to do).

Nope

How many ways can you say this:

No
Negative
Nope
Non
Nothing
Absent
Nein
Sweet FA
In, not out
Lack of
Nary (?)

There's many more but you get the gist....the bun is still in t'oven

4 days over

As you've probably guessed, nothing still.

Dropping children off at school so will be getting into work later this morning which is more than likely fueling speculation that it's come....well if you're reading this....'it hasn't'

Great Night

A very good game of football, good crowd, two decent teams, cup tie atmosphere, two goals, spoils shared, no baby.

Nada

Nothing still. Lots of Braxton Hicks but none developing into real contractions.

Big match tonight versus WBA so about 19:40, 5 minutes before kick-off, I will probably get 'the call'

Nowt coming owt

In work so, you guessed, still nothing.
Midwife later so maybe something to begin the birthing process can be implemented.

Baby pictures to be posted when, eventually, it arrives.

Looks like work tomorrow

Nothing doing yet but it came out of the blue last time so maybe....

So up and into work early tomorrow morning unless he decides to grace us with his presence.

Monday, 10 September 2007

A few twinges last night but no sign yet.
Felt quite a number of hefty kicks so maybe he's trying to boot his way out.

Day Seventeen Penultimate Day

Not much to say, we hit the various shops for camera and things.
Lots of last minute clothes shopping meant a new bag to chuck some more stuff in, must learn more self control.

We had a very nice lunch in Ruby Tuesday with t'Wife and my Mum having their usual fresh Strawberry lemonade

We then laze at the pool for the afternoon trying to relax not thinking about the fact we are going home tomorrow.

Evening at Red Lobster, the only thing to note was that Libby (4 years old) had snow crab legs which I didn't think she'd go for but she attacked them with vigour.
